The EPCRA Tier II (Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory) Report submittal will be due to the SERC, LEPC and local fire departments on March 1, 2013. The Tier II report will cover the 2012 calendar year, and is required for those chemicals stored at your facility above various chemical-specific weight thresholds that have been established. The weight threshold varies for extremely hazardous substances (EHS), and is set at 10,000 pounds for other chemicals that are stored at your facility. Although some chemicals are exempt from the EPCRA reporting obligations, most materials having an MSDS are subject to this reporting obligation.
