Suzanne Knudsen joins CEC Charlotte as the office’s Ecological Sciences Practice Lead. She has more than 14 years of experience managing and performing a wide array of ecological and environmental projects.

Suzanne’s expertise includes Waters of the U.S. determinations and delineations; biological/protected species assessments; Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; stream assessments; Clean Water Act Section 404/401 permitting; mitigation monitoring; macrobenthic sampling; bald eagle nest surveys; migratory waterfowl surveys; avian identification; and National Environmental Policy Act compliance documentation for multiple organizations. She has conducted several federal, state, municipality, and tribal consultations. Suzanne has completed work in many different sectors including renewable energy; commercial, residential, assisted living, recreational, and institutional development; and linear corridor projects that include natural gas, transmission, fiber optic, sanitary sewer, and transportation.

Suzanne has a B.S. in environmental biology from Wingate University and is a member of the Ecological Society of America and the Society of Wetland Scientists.
