Tom Maier, P.E., joins CEC Charlotte as a Principal in our Waste Management practice. Tom has more than 30 years of expertise as a consultant, specializing in a wide range of waste management engineering solutions.

Tom has developed and implemented solutions to environmental, regulatory, construction, and operational problems at over 50 waste management facilities in over a dozen states and territories. He has experience with several wastes including coal ash, municipal solid waste, construction & demolition, industrial, and hazardous. Tom’s project work includes site development, ground improvement, environmental permitting, remediation, construction services, and design-build projects.

Tom is a licensed professional engineer in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Tom is credentialed as a board-certified environmental engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He has a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
