Eduardo Intriago, P.E., a Principal in CEC’s Pittsburgh office, has been selected as a member of the 2023-2024 Leadership Pittsburgh cohort.
Leadership Pittsburgh (LP) is a nine-month program — September 2023 through June 2024 — for established senior-level leaders. The program engages and informs the senior leadership throughout the region and creates meaningful bonds with others of their levels and from diverse backgrounds.
Eduardo, CEC’s Pittsburgh Real Estate Market Lead, and Principal in our Civil Site Development Practice, has been with CEC since January 2020.
He initially met his 60 fellow cohort members in early September during a welcome orientation and reception at the Andy Warhol Museum. The members got to know each other during a two-day retreat the mountains of the Laurel Highlands.
“I will provide a unique perspective to the cohort. I am originally from Ecuador, South America. I arrived in the United States for graduate school at the University of Illinois in 2002. I fell in love with this county and now my career, my life, and my family are here in the United States,” Eduardo says. He and his family moved to the Pittsburgh area in the spring of 2020.
Mary Guinee, CEC’s Strategic Development Officer, says “We are incredibly happy for Eduardo in being named to the 2023-2024 Leadership Pittsburgh cohort. He has put down roots in this region and he is ready to give back to the city that welcomed him. Eduardo has a world view perspective – and he will bring that perspective to Leadership Pittsburgh.”
Brian Lantz, a CEC Vice President in the Pittsburgh office, adds, “We are proud to support Eduardo’s involvement and look forward to the positive changes it will contribute to the Pittsburgh region.”
“I’m anxious to get out there with influential professionals from the region, and bring my experiences from other places,” Eduardo says.
He is looking forward to sharing ideas and looking at ways to tackle problems with prominent leaders in the area. “These productive conversations are what I am really looking forward to.”
Content area experts from the community serve as faculty to build the capacity of program participants who are leading this community now and will affect change in the region in the coming years. It not only engages the senior leadership of the region’s companies but also creates meaningful bonds with others of their levels and from diverse backgrounds. LP is an investment in the region — and in the individual leader.
“We will be discussing how to bring more business here. How to make the region grown, how to fortify the workforce and how we can influence that growth. I am excited and I am curious,” Eduardo says.
“I knew this (Leadership Pittsburgh) was a big thing, but I didn’t know how big,” he adds with a smile. “I’m proud to have been chosen and ready to make a difference.”
