CEC Corpus Christi and Houston team members participated in the 24th Annual Earth Day-Bay Day at Heritage Park in Corpus Christi, Texas. Earth Day-Bay Day is a free, community festival run by the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation. The festival’s activities include interactive/educational exhibits, wild animal shows, plant giveaways, food, and more. According to their website, the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation aims to bring education, conservation, participation, habitat protection, and career choices together in a fun atmosphere to help promote environmental awareness here in the Coastal Bend.
CEC team members shared ways to enjoy and protect our natural resources with festival attendees through various environmental games. CEC was also a “Friend of Earth Day-Bay Day Sponsor” for the event. The six-hour festival had around 9,000 attendees and featured more than 60 exhibitors, including industry, government, non-profits, scholastics, and community groups.
